ABC orders pilot for Shawn Ryan's 'Resort'

ABC has purchased the pilot ''Last Resort'' from authors Shawn Ryan and Karl Gajdusek. Hourlong drama particulars the establishment a brand new society inside a world held hostage through the crew of the ballistic missile submarine. Project has been created by The new sony with Ryan set to professional produce. Ryan is originating off Fox's ''The Chicago Code,'' which went for just one season. Gajdusek authored for 2004 Showtime series ''Dead Like Me'' as well as composed the current bigscreen pic ''Trespass,'' starring Nicole Kidman and Nicolas Cage.
